To better serve our community’s sexual health we know we need to meet our patients where they are and offer services that best meet their needs. We now offer hormone therapy for transgender and gender nonconforming patients. Additionally, we offer a full range of sexual health services including PrEP and PEP access, HIV testing, STI testing and treatment, and general wellness exams.
As we launch this pilot program we will be working with and including the transgender community to ensure we are providing quality gender affirming care. Currently the Gender Care clinic hours are twice a month with plans to expand.
What
We use an informed consent model. We give you the most current information we have about hormone replacement therapy giving you the choice about what to do with your own body. We also provide referrals for other services or qualified physicians.
Who
Whether you’re looking to start hormone therapy or you’re seeking a new medical provider for hormone therapy, you are welcome to receive services through the Kind Clinic’s Gender Care Program.
Cost
Whether you have insurance or not, we provide FREE care and services to everyone. Our Access Navigators will provide assistance for you to receive your hormones for free or at low cost.
A Safe Space
The Kind Clinic is a judgement-free zone. We will never judge you, and we will keep information about your visit and health private and confidential. Everyone should have access to high-quality gender care and sexual health services, regardless of insurance, immigration status, or identity. We believe in kindness for all.

Kind Clinic doesn’t offer assistance with applying for disability benefits at this time. If you are located in the Austin area, Integral Care offers assistance with applying for SSI and SSDI. For more information about Integral Care, visit http://www.integralcare.org.

My company just laid me off about two weeks ago and I will no longer have any insurance. I recently started my testosterone 11/19 and my check up in feb indicated that my kidney functions have decreased. The soonest appointment wasn’t till July of this year and with my insurance being cancelled I won’t be able to find out. I also don’t want to be without testosterone for 4 months. If you have a current valid prescription for testosterone, GoodRx (www.goodrx.com) is a medication coupon website that can reduce the cash price of your prescription at the pharmacy. To get a medication coupon, visit http://www.GoodRx.com, enter your medication name, dosage, and quantity (for example, testosterone cypionate 200mg/mL, 1mL vial), and select the coupon for the pharmacy that you would like to use. The pharmacy will need the BIN, PCN, ID and GRP numbers listed on the coupon.

Hello, I am wondering if I can get an appointment set up to start taking testosterone shots again? I was taking them for almost 6 months but had to stop because my Insurance went out. I have blue Cross blue shield now but I’m not sure if they cover this. Can you get back to me as soon as possible.
