Kind Clinic is now offering the Jynneos Monkeypox vaccines to individuals in Texas who meet the eligibility criteria. Supplies of the vaccine are limited.
Vaccines will be provided at our Koenig location. Vaccination appointments must be scheduled in advance. Walk-ins cannot be accepted at this time.
Currently, due to limited supplies, the Monkeypox vaccine can be administered only to those with a high risk of developing Monkeypox.
You are eligible for the vaccine if ONE of the following is true:
Patients with COVID-19 symptoms will not be seen at Kind Clinic locations.
Kind Clinic still requires all individuals to wear a mask, be screened and practice social distancing. We remain committed to practicing evidence-based tactics to control the spread of COVID-19 and keep our patients, healthcare providers, and staff protected.
Flu and COVID Vaccine Scheduling with Jynneos Vaccine for Monkeypox
This time of year, a lot of people are juggling multiple vaccination priorities. With flu season fully upon us, and many in need of a COVID vaccines/boosters, how do those vaccinations impact your Jynneos vaccination?
You can get a flu vaccine the same day as your Jynneos vaccine, and we will also be offering flu vaccine to uninsured adults at our Austin Jynneos vaccine clinics. There is no need to schedule an additional appointment, just let us know at the time of your Jynneos vaccine appointment that you would also like a flu vaccine.
It is important to space your Jynneos vaccine doses and any COVID vaccine/booster at least 4 weeks apart. This means that if you have received a COVID vaccine/booster in the last 4 weeks, you should wait to schedule your initial Jynneos vaccine or 2nd dose. Although Jynneos vaccine doses are recommended to be a minimum of 4 weeks apart, they can be spaced further apart to accommodate for COVID vaccine if necessary.
Because supplies of the vaccine are currently so limited, it unfortunately means that someone may be eligible for a vaccine, but unable to receive it immediately due to lack of supply at this time. The goal is for everyone who wants a vaccine to receive a vaccine, and we will continue to update the community as we receive more.
