Access Made Simple

No one is denied care at Kind Clinic due to inability to pay.

At Kind Clinic, we encourage patients to use their insurance to cover the cost of care and to fill prescriptions at our partner pharmacies, like Avita Pharmacy, which helps sustain our mission. If you’re uninsured or facing healthcare costs you can’t manage, the Kind Patient Assistance Program can help with co-pays, labs, and medications. We can also connect you to coverage options like MAP (for Travis County residents) or Affordable Care Act plans.

Patient Support Center

The Patient Support Center (833-937-5463) handles all Kind Clinic calls, including appointment booking, insurance authorization, medical records, triage nurse services, lab results, pharmacy inquiries, location info, virtual tech support, and community testing. You can call to inquire about your care at Kind Clinic.

When you begin care at Kind Clinic, you are assigned a Patient Advocate. Patient Advocates help you navigate your insurance and patient assistance programs, ensuring you can access your medication. They work to remove any barriers, including payment and insurance coverage.

Are you living with HIV? Our Care Navigators and Case Managers work diligently to assist you in understanding and managing your healthcare needs, including insurance, medication assistance, and linkage to supportive services. Our goal is to help you achieve viral suppression or an undetectable viral load.

If you are newly diagnosed with HIV, our Community Health Workers are here to support you from the moment of your diagnosis. They will help you begin care at Kind Clinic and assist you in understanding what your diagnosis means as you start your treatment.

If you are on PrEP, our PrEP Retention Specialists will work with you to ensure you start and remain in care. While not all patients are enrolled in the PrEP retention program, our team is dedicated to keeping as many patients as possible on PrEP to reduce the risk of contracting HIV. Additionally, we analyze insights on why patients stay on or discontinue PrEP to continuously improve our support and care strategies.

Kind Clinic’s Medical Legal Partnership program connects patients with free legal aid through the Texas Legal Services Center. This program helps resolve adverse legal and administrative issues, including name and gender marker changes, discrimination, and more, benefiting both their care and their families.
