Reaction to 2024 Election: Your Health is Always Our Priority

Election Response

We want to be clear: we are not going anywhere.

Like many of you, we are processing the results of this election and what this might mean for access to healthcare for LGBTQIA+ people and people impacted by HIV. We want to be clear: we are not going anywhere.  The reality is that LGBTQIA+ Texans need healthcare yesterday, today, and into the future. We are prepared to continue providing access to the life-saving care that our patients turn to us for.

That commitment is not going anywhere, no matter who is in office.

As a community-informed organization, Texas Health Action and our programs Kind Clinic and Waterloo Counseling Center have been at the forefront of creating a model of care built by and for the communities we serve. No matter the environment we find ourselves in, we are resolute in continuing to advocate for and ensure access to care, expand our programming and provide a place for Texans to receive affirming care. That commitment is not going anywhere, no matter who is in office.

Our priority is, and always will be, the health and well-being of our patients. So many of us at Kind Clinic and Waterloo Counseling Center are part of the LGBTQIA+ community or impacted by HIV and approach your care as “us, taking care of us.” If you have any questions about your care, please don’t hesitate to call us at 833-937-5463. We’re ready to support your care with us.
