Beward Employment Scams!
Texas Health Action and Kind Clinic have recently become aware of fraudulent job offers and recruitment scams falsely claiming to represent our organization. These scams are designed to trick job seekers into sharing personal or financial information. We want to help protect our applicants and community by sharing how our hiring process works.
How to Identify a Legitimate Recruitment Process
When applying for a position with Texas Health Action, Kind Clinic or Waterloo Counseling Center, you can expect the following:
- We will never ask you to pay a fee, purchase gift cards, or provide banking or other financial information as part of the hiring process.
- Recruitment communications will come from an official @texashealthaction.org email address or another verified Texas Health Action communication channel.
- We do not conduct interviews exclusively through text messages, WhatsApp, Telegram, Signal, or other chat applications.
- All employment offers follow a formal interview and hiring process.
What to Do if You Receive a Suspicious Job Offer
If you receive a message, email, or social media communication claiming to represent Texas Health Action or Kind Clinic that seems suspicious:
- Do not provide personal, financial, or banking information.
- Do not send money or purchase gift cards.
- Stop communicating with the sender if you believe the message is fraudulent.
- Contact our Human Resources team to verify the communication before responding.
