This holiday season, we invite you to spread some holiday cheer to our friends at our partner organizations! If you’re able to this year, please consider giving your time, talent, and/or financial support to these incredible organizations that provide essential services to our communities. Any contribution, big or small, will help bring a little more joy into the community at a time when many need it the most.
We’re proud to partner with the following organizations in Austin and San Antonio: Waterloo Counseling Center, Out Youth, Foundation Communities, SAFE Alliance, Austin Black Pride, Ashwell, aGLIFF, Texas Freedom Network, UT’s Gender and Sexuality Center, Boss Babes ATX, Pride Center San Antonio, Thrive Youth Center, and the San Antonio Rape Crisis Center. Read more about the impact our partners make in our communities below and consider an end of year gift in support of our mission of expanding access to affirming healthcare.
We’re honored to have Waterloo Counseling Center join us as a program of Texas Health Action in early 2021!
Waterloo offers high quality, affordable mental health counseling to the entire community and has expertise in serving the LGBTQIA+ community; people living with HIV/AIDS and their loved ones; and people experiencing trauma, depression, or anxiety. Fees are based on a sliding scale for people who are uninsured. Waterloo accepts many major forms of insurance, including Medicaid and Medicare.
Understanding. Nurturing. Empowering.

Creating Housing Where Families Succeed
Foundation Communities is a local, homegrown nonprofit that provides affordable, attractive homes and free on-site support services for thousands of families with kids, as well as veterans, seniors, and individuals with disabilities. They offer an innovative, proven model that empowers its residents and neighbors to achieve educational success, financial stability, and healthier lifestyles. They own and operate 23 communities all over Austin and in North Texas.
Together We Can Stop Abuse for Everyone
The SAFE Alliance exists to stop abuse for everyone by serving the survivors of child abuse, sexual assault and exploitation, and domestic violence. SAFE is dedicated to ending violence through prevention, advocacy, and comprehensive services for individuals, families, and communities that have been affected by abuse.
Educate. Celebrate. Empower.
The mission of Austin Black Pride is to transform the living and social environments of Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, and Queer (LGBTQ) people of color with a focus on Black LGBTQ individuals. They aim to create multicultural opportunities that educate, celebrate, and empower LGBTQ individuals of color through the creation and/or facilitation of culturally specific programs, policy, advocacy, partnerships, and relationship building.
The mission of ASHwell is to empower central Texans by providing sexual health and wellness services that serve the body, mind and spirit. ASHwell envisions a community made up of individuals, regardless of status, station, or background, that are empowered to navigate their own sexual health and wellness without shame, stigma or judgement.
The Best LGBTQIA+ Fest in the Southwest
The All Genders, Lifestyles, and Identities Film Festival (aGLIFF) cultivates the Texas LGBTQIA+ community by enlightening, educating, and entertaining our clients and patrons through programs that enrich the LGBTQIA+ and ally communities while developing LGBTQIA+ awareness. aGLIFF Nonprofit Organization Programs include the Queer Youth Media Project, Queer Voices Fund, Community Partnership Program and Family Screening Program, all of which culminate in or around the annual Prism Film Festival Program.
We are all in this together
Founded in 1995, the Texas Freedom Network is a nonpartisan, grassroots organization of more than 130,000 religious and community leaders who support religious freedom, individual liberties, and public education. Based in Austin, TFN acts as the state’s watchdog for monitoring far-right issues, organizations, money, and leaders. The organization has been instrumental in defeating initiatives backed by the religious right in Texas, including private school vouchers and textbook censorship at the State Board of Education.
Serving Women and LGBTQIA+ Communities Since 2004
The mission of the Gender and Sexuality Center (GSC) is to provide opportunities for all members of the UT Austin community to explore, organize, and promote learning around issues of gender and sexuality. The center also facilitates a greater responsiveness to the needs of women and the LGBTQ communities through education, outreach, and advocacy.
Boss Babes ATX is a low-pressure learning community, celebrating women and nonbinary creative leaders in Texas. They put on conferences, festivals and workshops to share resources and create spaces of personal and professional support across creative industries, entrepreneurship, tech, community leadership and the arts.
Empowering San Antonio’s LGBTQ+ Community
The mission of The Center – Pride Center San Antonio is to serve the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and HIV communities by connecting them and their families to community resources and organizations related to health, wellness, support, education, activities, and advocacy.
We are beyond grateful for the support of Pride Center San Antonio’s support as a community partner, advocate, and ally as we opened our Kind Clinic location in early 2020. Thank you all!
Thrive Youth Center’s mission is to provide a safe, effective, and supportive center for homeless LGBTQ youth, so they may become productive, skilled, educated, and successful adults with the ability, opportunity, and possibility of achieving their dreams.
Help. Hope. Healing.
The Rape Crisis Center supports and empowers survivors and educates the community to end sexual violence. They help to ensure a responsive medical community, sensitive law enforcement, and an active prosecution system. They offer a continuum of care- from intervention to prevention and advocacy, including wrap-around resources. They provide 24-hour crisis intervention, free and confidential counseling, and a prevention education program that promotes healthy relationships and advances social change. The Rape Crisis Center not only creates awareness through presentations, but also through events, campaigns and dynamic partnerships and collaborations.
Consider making an end of year donation to give the gift of sexual health to those who need it most. Also, if you’re shopping online this year, don’t forget to sign up for AmazonSmile to generate donations to our efforts!
