We are thrilled to announce that Texas Health Action has been nominated for the Ceci Gratias Guardian Award at the Austin LGBT Chamber of Commerce’s 2024 Business of Pride Gala. This award recognizes non-profit organizations for their leadership and contributions to the Austin community, and we are honored to be considered alongside such impactful peers.
From PrEP and HIV care to gender-affirming services, STI testing, and mental health support, our mission is rooted in creating safe, affirming healthcare spaces for all. This year, we proudly introduced Glossy by Kind Clinic, our newest program that builds on Kind Clinic’s expertise in serving LGBTQIA+ communities by offering aesthetic services and furthering our commitment to meeting the diverse needs of those we serve. Glossy adds to the impact of our other programs, including Kind Clinic and Waterloo Counseling Center, as we continue expanding healthcare access for our communities across Texas.
Our partnership with the Austin LGBT Chamber of Commerce and other LGBT chambers across the state has been instrumental in amplifying our impact. These partnerships provide invaluable networking opportunities, foster collaboration, and help us stay connected to the evolving needs of the LGBTQIA+ community. The support we receive through these networks allows us to extend our reach and deliver critical services to more individuals. Being part of this community creates a powerful synergy, ensuring that nonprofits like ours have the resources and connections needed to thrive and continue serving the people who need us most.
To be recognized for this work, particularly in a city like Austin where Texas Health Action was founded, is an incredible honor. This nomination reflects the dedication of our staff, volunteers, and supporters who help keep Austin proudly LGBTQIA+ while providing healthcare to thousands of Texans, both locally and across the state.
We look forward to celebrating with the Austin community at the Business of Pride Gala on December 7th, where the awards will be presented. Thank you to the Austin LGBT Chamber of Commerce for this meaningful recognition!
