Hey all you cool cats and kittens! Need something to watch that’s not Tiger King? Tired of conversations about Joe Exotica and Carole “Did She or Didn’t She” Baskin? We got you sis! Our Kind crew is back at it again, bringing you our favorite shows from Netflix, Hulu, HBO Go, and Amazon Prime. So, while you continue to stay home as much as possible and practice physical distancing, our staff will be letting you know what they’re watching each week!
Suits (Amazon Prime) (Genre: Drama)
“Where do I start? It’s full of drama, has great fashion, and the female leads (Meghan Markle, Sarah Rafferty, & Gina Torres) are people I want to be when I grow up!”
Game of Thrones (HBO Go) (Genre: Fantasy/Drama)
“Based on George R.R. Martin’s best-selling book series “A Song of Ice and Fire,” Game of Thrones is brought to the screen as HBO sinks its considerable storytelling teeth into the medieval fantasy epic. INCREDIBLE character development! And while it leads to a disappointing end (which I’ll never forgive them for), you should still watch!”
Survivor (Hulu/CBS All-Access) (Genre: Reality)
“I’ve always been a fan of survivalist shows (i.e. Naked and Afraid), but I also really love the drama that comes with reality TV (i.e. Real Housewives). If you are a fan of either or both, then you’ll LOVE Survivor. It’s the best of both worlds! 16 competitors are stranded in a remote location for 39 days to outwit, outplay, and outlast each other to become the sole Survivor. 10/10 would recommend.”
Love is Blind (Netflix) (Genre: Reality)
“Love is Blind. That was a good show for me. I’ve never been into “The Bachelor” or the dating show thing but I somehow got hooked on the experiment they were doing… SOCIAL DISTANCING and dating at once? It opened my eyes to a new concept. Some people use things like height, age, money, or status in choosing a partner that wants to be with you, so this show gave me, a young 20-something, hope in trying to figure out this dating game.”
