TeleKind is also available by phone call if you do not have access to a smart device, computer, and/or the internet.
Patients use TeleKind to connect with their provider for quick treatment and requests, such as prescription refills, a follow-up appointment, or to get answers to a sexual health related question.
Your provider doesn’t actually need to do a physical exam to diagnose and treat many conditions. That’s because knowing your medical history is considered “90% of the evaluation” when combined with your interaction. How you’re feeling can be just as important to your provider as the results of a physical exam. In a TeleKind video call your provider will be able to see you and view any picture uploads, giving additional visual information needed to make a diagnosis.
Using TeleKind is as simple as clicking a link in the confirmation email we send you for your visit. There’s no need to create an account, login, or learn how to use a new program. You can easily use TeleKind on your phone, tablet, laptop, or desktop computer. If you do not have access to a smart device and/or Internet we can also arrange for your TeleKind visit by phone call.
Yes. If your provider decides you need treatment, they will send your prescription electronically to your pharmacy so it’s ready for pick-up when you arrive.
No, TeleKind shouldn’t be used for emergency care. If you have a medical emergency, please dial 911 immediately.
Yes. TeleKind is 100% HIPAA compliant. Any personal health information you provide is completely safe and secure.
For a video call you will need a computer equipped with a camera and microphone, or a compatible mobile device such as a smartphone or tablet as well Internet connectivity. If you do not have access, that's not a problem! Let us know and we will happily arrange for a visit by phone.
Yes! TeleKind was designed to be very user-friendly. Imagine Skype, but with a few more bells and whistles to give you and your doctor everything you need to have a successful visit. If you do not have access to a smartphone, computer, or Internet, let us know so we can arrange for your visit by telephone.
Normally, TeleKind is only available to current Kind Clinic patients needing follow up appointments; however, for the protection of our patients and staff during the COVID-19 pandemic, ALL Kind Clinic appointments will be virtual Telekind visits, unless otherwise requested by your provider.
