Having served on the Texas Health Action Board of Directors since our first year of operation, I am consistently amazed by the commitment shared by our Kind Clinic providers and the passion displayed by the organization’s staff while serving the needs of our communities. This holiday season, I invite you to help us expand access to affirming sexual healthcare.
This has been a year of challenges and growth for so many, including us at Texas Health Action. We opened our newest and largest Kind Clinics in Austin and San Antonio, and each of our Kind Clinics quickly modified service delivery to safely remain open for our current and new patients. Our Patient Support Center has received record numbers of calls, our Patient Advocates have provided grocery assistance to more than 300 eligible patients, and our Outreach and Testing team has conducted an unprecedented number of STI and HIV tests. Culturally competent and affirming sexual healthcare is a vital necessity. With your help, we can continue responding to sexual health needs in more communities.
Join us as we prepare for the new year. The need for judgement-free, accessible sexual healthcare grows. Our programs including Kind Clinic and Waterloo Counseling Center (launching as a program of Texas Health Action in early 2021) offer necessary services to our community.
